Throwback Thursday #01
Yesterday, I published a post about starting this weekly blog posting called Wander Wednesday. That gave me an idea to start another weekly blog posting called Throwback Thursday. So for today I will share with you this very short story about the time when I was very dedicated in joining local running events.
A few years back, I created a website which chronicles all my running activities. I used to run quite often before and was determined to get tone my muscles as well as to keep my weight in check. I even ran a half-marathon (which was terrible to be honest, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.) I created that website to inspire me to push through my health and running goals. Sadly, I got bored and my weight just went worse. After I quit running, I shifted my focus on reading quite a number of books. And that made my eyesight worse and I need to start wearing prescription glasses in 2018.
What I enjoyed most though is I was running together with my closest, best friends. This activity bonded us more and made us understand one another. We grew together through this activity and I cherish these memories that we had. I also wanted to share that we are single back then and of course, when us girls get together, we would often talk about boys, or if my friends are entertaining any guys as a form of catching up or updating one another of our lives. It was actually funny, and amusing and some of us would set one another to the guys we know to meet them in the hopes that romance may blossom through it. I also remember there’s a guy who even went at the top of Tayak Hill just meet our friend. It was pleasant encounter and we never need to worry about going down the hill since the guy brought his car. Anyway, those attempts to meet other guys was futile and nothing came out of it.
But OK, but I actually met my significant other through the running events we participated before. I met him way back 2016 but I wasn’t interested in him so I never entertained or even talk to him. I was just not interested. Back then he would often invite me to run or grab a coffee but I always turned him down or pretended that I was busy. But then due to some unexpected things that happened last year, we met again last July 2019 and the rest in now history. <3
This photo with my closest friends together with him was taken last January 2016 and that was the first time I met him through our common friend. A lot of things have changed since the last time I met him in 2016 when I met him last year. And actually we are celebrating our 8th months today so I decided to write to short blog post about him.
If you are reading this, I love you so much.
See you on my next Throwback Thursday post!
